Family Equality – Love, Lawyers and the Government

“Where do babies come from?” It’s a question every parent hopes they never get asked. But for an LGBTQ+ parent, the question is even more difficult to answer. The process is expensive, it’s aggressively complicated, and worst of all, it’s filled with systemic discrimination and bias against these parents. It’s hard to explain. But then again, so is explaining birth to a six-year-old.

We partnered with the organization Family Equality to galvanize support for the Equality Act and the John Lewis Every Child Deserves a Family Act – all pieces of legislation designed to remove barriers between the LGBTQ+ community and parenthood.
